Icons of Denmark presents the Family of Tivoli chairs. New children versions are being launched at Milan and two new colours for Verner Panton’s Tivoli chair from Montana – bright Blue Heaven and elegant Anthracite were launched last month. The contemporary furniture Tivoli Family comes in chair, lounge, and bar version in 12 fantastic colours.

Blue Heaven enters the group of vivid colours like Pink, Red, Power Purple, Orange and Grass Green. Blue Heaven puts life into the home as well as into public spaces. The new Anthracite belongs to the more discreet colours like Olive, Coffee, Sky, Black and White.

Anthracite keeps elegantly in the background and the soft colour fits in everywhere.

The Tivoli chairs that Verner Panton designed for a restaurant in Tivoli, Copenhagen, in 1955, was initially made for both inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace. The chair has a frame of stainless, polished steel and the seat is, in its present version, woven with strings of weather-proof polyurethane, reinforced with a nylon core. The Tivoli chair is hand-woven and each chair uses 60 – 110 metres of string. It takes a professional weaver approx 1½ -2 hours to plait one chair. The chairs is stackable and easy to move inside or outside.
